Núria Riera is a visual artist from Granollers (Barcelona). Classically trained in figurative drawing and painting. She lives and has her studio in the coastal town of Tarifa, in the south of Spain. In her work, she strips away the unnecessary and gets to the essence of things.
Riera paints mostly from life. She likes to have the subject in front of her, so she can study its light, form and color closely.
Núria’s paintings are in private collections worldwide. Her work has been selected for exhibitions in different countries, featured in international magazines, and won awards. She has also been invited to teach workshops about her technique internationally.
